Win 2003 system restore - a bit odd

Hi

Somebody has made a reasonable attempt at  writing a technote

http://support.veritas.com/docs/295342

How to perform system drive restore of a Windows 2000 or 2003 Server (ALL) using a full backup image with system state (2000) or Shadow Copy Components (2003).

Given that when you encounter issues Symantec no doubt will say "do it this way"  if it still doesn't work then we might listen.  On that premise we decided to test it out.  When it starts of the restore (driven from client) it asks for a truck load of tapes, yet when you do  the restore from the master server it does what you expect  - asks for only the tapes  it requires.  .... anybody know why there is a difference it tapes requests.

Any ideas as what this command   does ?
..\Veritas\bin\w2koption -restore -same_hardware 1

Gave up on that approach best not to use the BAR GUI on the client but rather run it from the desktop client or master server.   This stopped the the flood of requests for tapes and it worked.
