I am trying to run the windows java console on windows 7 64 bit. I have installed 6.5.4 from the 64 bit install and this worked correctly. When i try and update when using NB_6.5.5.winnt.x64_337791 the next button is greyed out.

Any ideas to get the 6.5.5 console installed on my box.
Thanks.

The O/S Compatibility Matrix says that Windows 7 support doesn't start until NetBackup 6.5.6.  Check out the footnote on page 20:

NetBackup (tm) 6.x Operating System Compatibility List (Updated July 21 2010)

I use a virtual box installed with fedora. And I put all Veritas (hagui, vea, jnbSA) tools on same VM. I not worry about updating java on my PC or any incompatibility issue. Any memory issue with Java is limited to the VM. Lastly my desktop look clean.

In order for you to patch 6.5.5 x64 pls follow the steps below.

1. Install the Java from this pack first - NB_6.5.4.Winx64_CD_326387

2. Once the Java from the above back is installed then install Java from -  NB_6.5.5.winnt.x64_337791
