Windows client - Netbackup effectively always does a full backup

Hi,

We've one Windows 2003 32 bit client (running NBU 6.5.3 on the client and 6.5.4 on the master) that despite its backup policy quoting differential incremental in its schedule, the backup always backs up the entire server (which is ~700GB) i.e. the same amount of data as a full. We don't use the archive bit but rather based on timestamp as with all other of our ~900 Windows clients which do no exhibit this problem.

I've looked on the client and only a small amount of data changes each day. We run monthly full backups for this client but the very next incremental will again always back up all the data once more.

Weird huh?

Thanks

G.

If not, or this is the only client in this policy, then maybe these T/N's are relevant?

The incremental backup is acting as a full backup when the full schedule is frequency based and the ...

Cumulative Incremental backup is the same number of files and same data size as the Full backup.
(strangely this T/N applies to NetBackup DataCenter 3.4.1 and NetBackup Enterprise Server 6.5.3 only?!)
