I am using netbackup 5.1 and recently we changed DLT drive to LTO drive

While writing I am getting only 2mb speed ,please help me out to get more speed

Presuming nothing changed in your Netbackup configuration, I'd be looking into the hardware setup.

On second thought, what device driver are you using?  Symantec/Veritas or vendor-supplied?

What was your backup speed before you upgraded?  What made you upgrade?

What steps did you take to prove that the tape drive was the bottleneck?  If the tape subsystem wasn't the bottleneck before, you may have made the problem worse by changing tape technlogies.

remember the type of data. is very important


for example A LOT OF small files usually is slower than a big file.
