Hi to all,
i'm in a test fase of bare metal restore. Windows restore worked really fine, but red hat 2.6 restore failed. I have installed a red hat 2.6 system in one box, with the standart partitions beeing created automaticly during the installation. After that i installed nb client and nb boot server in that box (i dont have another red hat for the test so the client beeing restore is also beeing used as boot server). I created the SRT and after that created a boot cd with that SRT. The box is inserted in a bmr prepared policy and a full backup to all_drives was made (after that it appears in the bmr clients). I made the discover and prepare for restore steps, and then booted the machine with the cd. When booting he says two things:
- the disk does not meet the minimum requirements for restore
- no configuration saved was found
then it tells me to go to the console and map the drives.
i cannot do it or i just dont know how to do it. (is it because the boot server is the same as the client beeing restored and therefore is off?)
can anyone help me on this issue or give me some link with documentation?
