Netbackup 6.5: convert windows catalog to UNIX Solaris catalog

does any one know if it´s possible to convert a master windows catalog to a master Unix Solaris catalog ?

I have see this question before and always ends with a "go with symantec" and they will probably still say that is not supported, but let us know if you get it will be interesting to know.

Symantec will not support the convert unless you get them to do it.

In fact, they have a technote that says it's not "supported". Call consulting.

Hehe, not as 'easy' in 6.0 as in 5.x (there was a description for 5.x on this forum somewhere)

You need to find a win2unix-ftp converter, like FlashXTP.com was able to do this in earlier versions. (cannot anymore! - their support-org. didn't know about this function in the older verisions) - And you need an older 'catconvert' binary because the -dos2unix to switch doesn't exist anymore. - The EMM-Db/EMM-server itselves can supported be moved between different servers, so this one is taken care of.

...so if you can get hold of a ftp-tool that can do win2unix conversion on the fly, - then it should be possible.   Even.
