Currently i have tried to test a hot catalog recovery with a dr file using netbackup 7.5.0.5

I have tried to use the symantec technote to recover the *.full from the netbackup\db\images\master\.... but found that the latest image header i found cannot be use for bprecover.

kindly advise  is there any other technote i can check on ?

You forgot to tell us which TN you are referring to?

If you know the media id, you can use this TN: http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO33934

You should prevent getting to a situation where you don't have a DR file.

Follow documentation to create DR file on a separate filesystem or network share as well as getting DR file emailed to entire backup team.

So then import from disk path. It normally helps if you give as much information as possible as we don't have insight into your environment.
