Hi there,
I have two Solaris VCS clusters. One is a clustered NetBackup 6.5.6 Master/Media. The other is a clustered NetBackup 6.5.6 Media. The Master cluster nodes are about to be decomissioned, and the Media server to be promoted to be a Master/Media. Providing the name of the virtual NetBackup server (of the currently Media server) is changed to reflect the old Master/Media server will I have to?
1. Reinstall NetBackup on the currently clustered Media as a Master/Media
2. Will bprecovery on the newly promoted clustered server of the catalog backup taken of the old clustered Master/Media work? I am aware there will be a need of some EMM hosts entries changes.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

You will need to uninstall NBU on media servers and re-install as clustered master so that EMM database can be created with original master virtual hostname
