Host Properties -> Clients -> (Select Client name) -> Logging
Change Global logging to 3.
Ensure dbclient folder exists under ...\netbackup\logs on the client. Create folder if it does not exist.
No need to restart any processes/services.
The next SQL backup will create level 3 logs.

Hi Rino19ny,
Here you go - this document should give you all you need to get that going:
DOCUMENTATION: How to enable logging to troubleshoot NetBackup for Microsoft SQL Server backup or restore issues:
https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000027153
Hope this helps,
Steve

thanks. is there a way for the master/media server to recognize changes in "bp.conf" without restarting the NBU processes?

bprdreq -rereadconfig, although you don't need to do that when you're changing logging levels.
