intermittent connection to a windows client

We have a Windows client running in Windows Server 2012 whose backups are failing with "(58) can't connect to client". Our master server is running Solaris 10 (Netbackup version 6.5). When I tried to do a bptestbpcd from master to client, sometimes it complete successfully (exit status 0) while sometimes it doesn't (exit status 25).

Here is the output of "bptestbpcd -client <client> -debug" from master server:

The last thing I remembered happening to the windows client is being rebooted lately due to a network share that became inaccessible to users. From that clue, I have a feeling that this client has an issue but I'm not sure which ones to look at Windows side (e.g firewall, Active Directory, etc). Please help thanks!

I am surprised that you even managed to install NBU 6.5 client software on W2012. You need to upgrade your master/ media server(s). Support for NBU 6.x ended 3 years ago.

Hi, Riann,

The client version (as seen on BAR gui) is version 6.5.6.

As per Riaan's post - W2012 is not supported with any NBU 6.x level. The minimum required version is 7.5.0.6. You need to upgrade!
