Hi Nagalla,

i would like to know if there is a way i can track if a certain tape was froze by an  administrator? let say the media status now is active, but i would like to know if thistape was froze before by an administrator but not the netbackup software.

thank you.

I suspect the bpmedia command will log into the admin log.

/usr/openv/netbackup/logs/admin

Infact, I have just checked, it does :

14:49:31.539 [2875] <2> bpmedia: VERBOSE = 5
14:49:31.539 [2875] <2> bpmedia: INITIATING: version NetBackup 7.1 created: 2011020316
14:49:31.539 [2875] <2> logparams: -m E01020 -unfreeze

Hi,

Does it require to have a verbose 5 level to track media changes?

I'll try this command.

thank you.

No, you get the message at VERBOSE 0

03:03:46.701 [7625] <2> bpmedia: VERBOSE = 0
03:03:46.701 [7625] <2> bpmedia: INITIATING: version NetBackup 7.1 created: 2011020316
03:03:46.701 [7625] <2> logparams: -unfreeze -m E01019
