redirect resore of event logs from dc to another host

How can i redirect the eventlogs ( security)  from our win2003 dc to another host to check old logon details ?

I have tested in our test env. to do restore back to original dc with whole system files and that give me the logs back with all other things.( i dont want to do that in our prod env.)

Best is some way to only restore the event files to a "dummy" server to read old security log on that.

Any ideas ?

regards,

What is your master server running on?

If it is running on a windows then here is the process

Open the BAR GUI

Under Specify Netbackup machine and policies, the tab "Destination client" is where you need to select the 'dummy' server  you want to restore it to.

thanks,

I have a NBU6mp4 Win2003 Master, the host i want to redirect events from is a win2003 domain controller.

I have tested to redirect to another host in our test enviorment and get corrupted file when reading security log after restore and reboot.

the host in test is a win2003 dc and i redirect it to a normal server ( not dc) .

Is threre a smart way to get this to work ?
