I am not seeing any mismatch.

it has 2 Robots and  5 tape drives connected.

1) on with Serial Number: "DELL134023S4033" and 5 drives

Drive 1 Serial Number      : "1210038583"
Drive 2 Serial Number      : "1210051730"
Drive 3 Serial Number      : "IE72B00871"
Drive 4 Serial Number      : "HU73F00341"
Drive 5 Serial Number      : "IE71H04725"

2nd with "00X4U78D5778_LL0"  and 2 tape drives

Drive 1 Serial Number      : "1310034251"
Drive 2 Serial Number      : "1310032994"

and

five drives are 3 from first robot and 2 from 2nd robot.

from robot 1
Drive 3 Serial Number      : "IE72B00871"
Drive 4 Serial Number      : "HU73F00341"
Drive 5 Serial Number      : "IE71H04725"

from robot 2
Drive 1 Serial Number      : "1310034251"
Drive 2 Serial Number      : "1310032994"

2 drives from robot 1 is not connected to media server..

if you are looking for those you probably need to check the zoaning part.

Nagalla is correct, there is no mis-match.

There are x5 drives in tpautoconf, and these 5 drives show in scan.  there are no other drives in scan, hence why there is no mis-match.

scan shows x2 robots, and these two robots have a total of x7 drives.

The reason you probably think there is a mismatch is that x2 of these drives ;

Drive 1 Serial Number      : "1210038583"

Drive 2 Serial Number      : "1210051730"

are not seen in tpautoconf.  this is not a mis-match as they are not seen in scan either.

There are shown as in a changer in the scan output, but the drives themselves have no entries, as I suspect they are either not connected or not zoned.

Or put another way.

If I make my master the robot control host, and only allow it to see the library, scan will show x1 entry for the changer, and this entry for the changer will show the (for example) x5 drives in the robot.  But, there are no additional entries in scan for each drive, as they are not connected.

Hope that makes sense.

so,both command will always report the same result always??

2 drives from robot 1 is not connected to media server.

Then why is this showing in the scan output.

scan/tpautoconf output shows what OS discovers.

So hw i can confirm whether this is added in NBU or not.??
