valid media host required for importv

Hi,

When i am trying to import firt phase of any media and selecting any media server, it gives me error

valid media host required for import , it only happens when robotic control host is not master server..

is it possible to import the media whose control host is not master server?

Hi Amit,

It could be possible because of several reasons. The media that you're importing , was it backed upon using the any of the media server in the current configuration?

Try the following commands:

# bpimport -create_db_info -id <Media_id>

- Once it is imported go to the Admin Console > Reports > Tape Reports > Images on tape.

- Run report with only specifying the media in Media ID section. It'll return with the backup-images on the media.

- Now check the Media server under the column Media Server in the report.

- You can now import the image using the same media server and controller host.
