Migration of vbr 6.6 database to opscenter analytics 7.1

Just wanted to find out from those who have upgraded from Veritas backup reporter to Opscenter analytics - if the database migration took days/weeks to complete?

The database is 14 GB and has been migrating for over 90 hours. On the migration monitoring (status) site:http://<servername>/opscenter it shows over a million records need to be migrated with less than 7000 records completed -is this normal?

I've logged a call with Symantec - and have been told this is normal - one agent even told me the migration can take week to complete!

He said we can log in while migration is taking place, but we cannot enable data collection .

My question to him was, if we can't generate reports what would be the point of logging in? and he hasn't replied.

We migrated from 32 to 64 bit and a new platform, our migration took about 4 hours for a 2.5 GB database. The new server has 20 GB of RAM and 2 quad core processors. During the migration we used our existing VBR server for reporting and monitoring, and then enabled OpsCenter Analytics data collection. The Master Servers maintain 3 days worth of console data, but not 90 hours. I understand your predicament.

Have an issue similar to mendi, our database upgrade from VBR 6.6.2 to OpsCenter of our about 4 GB database seems stop at random.

Already have a case with symantec as I suspect some of the problem lies in our VBR database

The standard questions: Have you checked: 1) What has changed. 2) The manual 3) If there are any tech notes or VOX posts regarding the issue
