Hi,

Is it possible to backup and restore Windows 2000 machines using BESR 2010? I am getting the below error message when tried to install the agent manually on windows 2000 machine.

windows 2000 is supported by installing Backup Exec system recovery 8.5 which can be licensed with your 9.0 license key. Please see product documentation for information on obtataining and installing Backup exec system recovery 8.5.

No, support for Windows 2000 has been dropped with BESR 2010. Please refer to the SCL for more information:

• Support for the Windows 2000 family of operating systems is being discontinued with BESR 2010. BESR-MS has the ability to backup Windows 2000 by managing BESR 8.5 clients on Windows 2000 machines.
