BESR recovery of HP Proliant DL380 G7 server to G5 server

Hi,

I have HP proliant G7 server which is running very crucial database used for plant. Unfortunately hardware of the server has gone faulty. 

I have one HP proliant G5 server and BESR backup of G7 server. I am trying to restore backup of faulty G7 server in to this G5 server.

i tried once but its not working.

Can anybody help me on this?

  1. What problem are you facing?
  2. What version of BESR/SSR?
  3. What operating system are you restoring?
  4. What have you tried so far?

1. It is going through driver updates while restore and then rebooting

2. BESR 10

3. Windows server 2003

4. Tried restoring image twice but could not succeed.

  1. Do you mean that the restore is complete, but Windows goes into a reboot 'loop' when it tries to boot into the operating system?
  2. I assume you mean BESR 2010? (there is no version '10')

EDIT: and was the Restore Anyware option enabled when you ran the restore?
