Hi all,
Am trying to use BESR Live CD with a Highpoint 3220 Raid 6 controller, it has an Intel 80331 IOP onboard.
The card (and BSER ) works fine in Windows Xp /2k / 2k3 /Vista.
But from the LiveCD BSER fails to detect the controller or any disks connected to it. ( regarless of RAID 0 / 1 /5 / JBOD )
I have tried making an Custom / updated BSER with no success
I have tried loading the drivers manually with no success
I know the BSER Live Cd V:7.01 is based on Vista and have tried all i can to add the correct drivers to the CD to loading them manually regardless of what i try, the BSER will not detect disks on the RR3220 card.
I sent an email to Highpoint tech support explaining the situation, this is the reply that i got.

Hello,
This may be related to the Symantec software - other customers have contacted us looking for controller cards supported by this software (some of our competitors products are apparently not recognized either).
We are not familiar with current builds of this utility, and have not been contacted by Symantec.
It may require a separate driver.
