Cannot connect to agent from different subnet

GRoos
Not applicable

I have installed SSR on a Windows 2008 server with ip nr 10.10.2.1. I remotely deployed the SSR agent on a server with ip 192.168.10.2 with no problem. After deploying I cannot connect from the console to that server. I can reach shares and ping the servers perfectly to en from each other, firewall on both servers is turned off. What can be the problem here?

I read something on another forum that SSR console and agent must be on the same subnet. Is this true?

That's definetly not true. They can reside in different subnets as well. Are you 100% sure that all required ports are open between the two subnets -> http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH54862
