Errore EC8F1B76 converting to a virtual disk

Hi,

I'm triing to covert a v2i file into a vmdk, but at the first step I receive this error:  

--Error EC8F1B76: \\easystore1\backup\symantec\ is not a name for a local path. For example: C:\.. I've tried to modify the .sv2i file (see http://support.veritas.com/docs/292149) but it doesn't work. The file is over a NAS and if I copy the .v2i file into the local pc and then retry the operation, it works! But is impossible to copy the file and the make the conversion... If is a big file is a wasting of time!

Anybody has seen this error?

Sounds like latency between the NAS and the system running the conversion; using a application like Appcritical what is the report generated when attempting to Zip a large file to the NAS from this client system?
