So I have a physical hp dl380 g7 server with windows 2008r2. I have two hyper-v vm's running. What is the best practice to do a besr backup on them I have three BESR liscenses (BESR_2010_9.0.3.40369_Multilingual_Product) Do i install them each one on the host and one per VM and back them up that way. Is there a guide for this ?
If you backuped from within the VM just do a restore as you would do with a physical server, if you did the backup from the Hyper-V Host, just restore the VHD and Config files for the VMs and re-integrate them into Hyper-V.
