Image file is larger than source disk.

I have an SBS server running Backup Exec System Restore V6.5.0.17171. It is set to backup to a storage server using a dedicated NIC on a seperate IP range. My issue is that when a base image is created the image file is over twice the size of the target disk. The total amount being backed up is approximately 250 GB. The image file reached 480 GB and then ran out of disk space on the storage server drives. Any help would be appreciated as we haven't had a successful base image in two weeks.

Thanks in advance.

Also this machine does run Exchange 2003.

Hello,

That's an odd problem.  BESR monitors the used space on the drive at a sector level.  Are there any applications that could be causing BESR to think more data exists on the drive than actually does?

Thanks.
