I personally am using a Windows 2k3sp2 / dual Intel 2.9GHz / 4GB system to run manager, its own instance of BESR, and the indexer to index an additional 5 virtual test clients ranging 5 to 10GB of used space; using standard compression. I have seen an average of 6 minutes / GB of ‘image space’ to index the images of these clients; about 4 and a half hours in all for base images. Far less when incremental updates are used of course.
