Migrate SSR 2013 database to new server

Hi,

apologies if I'm covering old ground, but since moving to SSR 2013 Management Solution from SSR2011, I now wish to migrate the database from Sqlserver 2005 to Sqlserver 2012 and was wondering what the procedure is.

The database would be on a different host and named instance, ie. not the default mssqlserver.

Many thanks in advance.

SQL 2012 is not supported with SSR- MS 2011 or SSR-MS 2013

SQL 2012 should be supported later this year afaik.

Thanks, that's good to know. So what would be the process if I was to move to SQL 2008 R2 ?

Will it require a registry hack or an odbc configuration to look at a different server and instance?

No, this settings can be changed in the Settings of the Notification server (Symantec Management Console).

Is this to be found under Settings and Notification server database?

I'll try changing this and see what happens.
