Have three workstations, (one a laptop) and server all running XP OS and connected via standard XP Pro network, utilising Netgear switch. Connected to one workstation via USB is a 1.5TB external drive. External drive is shared.
All four computers successful complete drive backup to external drive on a regular scheduled basis, but when test is conducted to recover any of the four computers via SRD the external drive over the network does not show. If the external drive is connected via USB and directly to the subject computer, drive is found and recovery (one time only) was successful. New SRD specific to each computer have been created. Question, why will the external drive not be be recognised at recovery, as referred above? Any help appreciated.
