Using BESR 7.01 with restore anywhere. Installed agent on virtual machine running on a VMWare 1.03 host. Used BESR to image the machine. Tested restoring to another virtual machine and it works fine. The problem occurs when I try to restore it to a bare metal hardware. The restore process completes successfully (with verification) but as soon as windows tries to boot i get nothing but a black screen and have to reboot. This is known-good hardware as it works with physical-physical restores. I have booted to recovery console and all the files are there, boot.ini is there and looks correct. Should this work? I have tried nearly every permutation of options (restoring only C drive, redoing disk signature, etc) but cannot get it to work.
Has anyone had any success with this feature?
