I do have the problem that the server has a Promise S150 TX4 raid controler which is supported by BESR8.5 the compatibility check doesent say anything about a missing driver.
But if I boot from the recovery CD I cannot see the raid array and for this reason there is no way to restore.
If I try to load the driver manually it says "diver loaded successfully" but the disk does not show up as destination for the restore operation.
As reason for this I found the fact that the Recovery CD is based on an W2k8 or Vista PE and there are no dirvers for Vista or 2008 for this controler.
If I try to boot from an V6.5 recovery CD than I can see the the volume but the restore fails because the backup was done useing a newer version of BESR.
The only way to move around this would be to have a XP-PE based recovery cd that contains the recovery tool of V8.5
Is there such a CD somewhere for download or does anybody have a hint how to build one myself?
