I keep getting the following errors in symantec system recovery 2013 sbs edition.
Sometimes the daily backup works fine and other days I receive errors such as the ones below.
I need these daily backup jobs to work 99.9% of the time. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?
Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job: Drive Backup of System Reserved (*:\), System Drive (C:\), Program Files (D:\).

I have applied the solution in the following technote and the errors still occur.
I've excluded program files; program files x86; programdata.

To me it seems a sector read issue
Your one of the partitions is unable t readt sector 7040
You should analyse the issue by doing the following
1. run chkdsk /r /f
2. Split the job and run the backup. only for C: n only for D:
Refer :

We seem to have some better articles on sector issue , probably it might need a reformat.
You can however try these n revrt back.
