taking a setpoint of Progress 10.1 database

I have a Progress Database v10.1, can BESR 8.5 take a system setpoint of the partition (e:\)  that the database resides on, while the database is up and running, and in use?  Or, do I need to have the databases shutdown?

It can have the backup while the database is online, but it may not assure consistent backup as it would not quiesce or freeze the database during the backup. But, it does have a snapshot driver to freeze the volume and perform backup, even when the database is online. It does not have support for Progress database, as we have for SQL or Exchange database.
