Partially solved the problem. Had to have the backup job NOT run a consistancy check on the SQL database before or after the backup. Now, I'll have to do a test restore to see if the data is valid or not, but at least it's backing SOMETHING up.

Did you ever find an answer to this question? In the relatively near future, I'll be upgrading from 10d to 12, and most likely will get a new box to put 12 on. Problem is, the old box is in the NOC, and it runs about 70+ jobs on a daily/weekly/month...
