I have several large jobs failed in the middle and lots of tape used. Netbackup is still keeping the time assigned on those tapes not releasing for reuse? Is there any way to recover those tapes from the failed jobs to reuse?

If we restart the device manager service while the backup is running in the same media server, will the backup continue or fail? how about if the backup is running on a different media server?

can i change the media type after the backup was taken in a SDLT I tape? Backup was taken when the media type was DLT3, i would like to change it to DLT? is it possible, how to do it? will it be ok for data restore?

Hi I have a Netbackup 4.5 FP_3/5GA for NDMP backup installation on Win2k w/ P3000 ATL. I am planning to upgrade to 5.1MPX and 6.5 on Win2k3 w/ PX720. Does anybody have any documentation for these two steps upgrade, appreciate your help. Thanks

Thanks for the comment. Who and when image cleanup runs? Or we need to run it always manually? Is there any possibility of deassigning the tapes w/ valid images?

well, i have a netbackup installtion where i have 3 types of physical media - DLT IV, SDLT I & SDLT II. In the net backup DLT IV tape type is dlt and dlt3 for SDLT I & II tapes.
In the ATL - PX720 - I have SDLT600 drives for new backups and a SDLT3...
