We have some other plugins running (CRM and an Antivirus one) and they both seem to work OK. Outlook is not running in cached mode.

It was installed manually in install mode on the terminal servers. I have tried reinstalling the client without success. I did wonder if it was one of our group policies causing the problem but I would expect it to happen every time Outlook is laun...

It happens every time they log on whether it's an existing user or not. I will check the EV_Client.log and report back.
