I made the horrendous mistake of upgrading our BE 2010 to 2012 and lost too much functionality. I need to roll back but unfortunately I just bought several 2012 VMware agent licenses. Can I install those licenses in 2010?
In the previous version of Backup Exec (2010) I was able to have 1 job to backup multiple servers, duplicate to tape and then eject the tape. I can not figure out how to replicate this behaviour in the new version 2012.
There seems to be a major co...
I scheduled a backup job to run overnight. As far as I can tell it completed successfully but the task of duplicating the job to tape did not. So I submitted another request to duplicate to tape.

I just upgraded from 12.5 to 2010R2. I just noticed the Netware Agent is missing. The License Information (under Help, About) says there is a license and that the agent is not installed. When I go under Tools, Install Agents... Configure Options...
I've read some other topics about this problem when restoring or backing up to/form backup-to-disk folders but I am using a tape, LTO4. The strange thing is that this used to work fine. It's just become a problem today. Nothing has changed as far ...

Right, and it says in the manual that it is that way by DESIGN?!?! What a joke. I'm very perplexed by this. I can't see paying for software maintenance if this is the direction the product has gone. But if not Backupexec than what? Is this just a...
How do I find out which server has the active job? If I have 20 servers, do I have to drill down the menu of each one to figure out which server is running the active job?
I figured this out. Unfortunately if you select more than one server you cannot exclude specific folders from the job. Hopefully Symantec "fixes" this in an update. I can't be the only one who is employed in an environment that archives old data on...
Thanks for your response.
What if you don't know which server has the active job? I looked through all the servers but did not find any. Is there any way to view ANY active jobs?
