Thanks,I noticed that the problem started after an re-boot. I am nt sure why (or how) they would have changed on their own, but I will check the SCSI parameter settings for he tape controller.

problem solved.I usually just modify an existing restore job for the new files to be restored, and source backup. It seems that the restore job that I keep re-using has gotten corrupted. I created a new restore job ant it worked fine.Thanks for you...
