EV 8.0 Read Cache - retrieve archived items to Netapp snapshots

I've heard that in EV 8.0 read cache is implemented in order to allow retrieval of archived items into read only file systems (such as Netapp snapshots). Is this ability available yet or is it scheduled for an upcoming SP? Thanks!!
