I noticed that BEWS11D uses plain jane NTLM when using the Remote Agent installer. This is a no-go in my environment, I need NTLMv2 or Kerberos to make this work.
Have you entered proper credentials in the Database Access tab of the remote agent utility? This account needs "domain admin"-type privs. You will also need an account within login accounts that has access into your database setup on the media server...
there are scripts to do this in the backup Exec install folder on your media server. On windows if you used the default isntall dir look in Prgram Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Scripts
