0xE0008523 Snapshot provider error

While doing a backup to disk, I received a:
 
 
In the event log is error 57755 (A snapshot operation required by this job was unsuccessful. Check the job log and the Windows Event Viewer for additional information.) and has a link to http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/252049.htm which says it is a generic error.
 
The server was rebooted & the same error occurred.  I have found absolutely nothing helpful in the knowledge base & have no idea where to go at this point.

I've had the same issue ever since they told me to turn on Advanced File Open... to fix another error... I havent received any suggestions on how to fix it.. here's the link to my issue

I'm getting this error as well, and it is all of the sudden.
 
Error 57755
