Hello.

After my server crashed,
I am restoring my backups onto a new machinces using backup exec 9.0.

I am running hte backup job and it is running fine but I am not able to access the folder and it says " not accessible - access denied"

Reason might be while restoring I enabled to restore security...
Can you please guide me on how to access these files - and remove the security..

hoping for an early response

Hello,
if you did not uncheck the 'Restore security ' field we suggest you to try the restore once again. Please see the following doccument:
A restore job fails with the errors " Access denied" and "Error writing file data" when the Backup Exec media server runs on a Windows NT 4.0 platform and the targeted server is running a Windows 2000 platform.

Additional Information:
What rights must the Backup Exec Service or Logon Account have when backing up local and remote computers in a Windows 2000 Active Directory environment in order to back up the System State?

"Access is denied" (a0008488 HEX or e0008488 HEX) is reported when a job fails
