If you look in the BESERNUM.XML file on the media server (in the c:\Windows dir) do yo see the RemoteAgent serial listed?

have you published the Remote Agent to the media server? (see the Admin Guide, page 892)

Can you ping both ways by both IP address and machine name?

Is it a upgrade?

Are you running same version of remote agent?

I have the same issue but it's related to exchange agent. I saw the admin guide p892, it's for remote agent. Do you know how can I publish exchange agent to the media server?

Thank you in advance

The remote agent handles communications between the media server and the target server. The Exchange "Agent" is merely a serial that unlocks the Exchange capabilities on the media server. it does not actually install any code If you have correctly configured the Exchange Agent, and can connect to and backup flat files on the Exchange server, you should also be able to do an Exchange Stores backup
