I was just wondering what advantages using the agent gives me over just backing up the virtual server with just backup exec remote agent.

The biggest advantage of the Virtual Server Agent over installing the Windows Agent into the Virtual is the fact that you can backup, restore, and move the entire Virtual machine as an image - like a giant file.  This is particularly useful in disaster-recovery situations.

As well as being able to restore individual files out of the VD's without having to restore the whole thing.  Of course I guess you could do that manually anyway using winimage or something.
