All mailboxes not visible in restore after migratring to exchange 2007

We have exchange 2007 up and running and have successfully migrated most of the mailboxes to the new system. The problem we are having is in backing up those mailboxes which have had prior user name changes.

We have exchange 2007 sp1 installed and are using Backup Exec 11d version 7170 with sp1 installed. We are able to backup and restore individual mailboxes except for the few we have that users have had name changes due to marriage and etc. Those mailboxes are not visible when doing a restore.

It appears that hotfix 14 for version 7170 was supposed to address an issues similar to this however this hotfix is included in sp1 and we are still experiencing this issue.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Mike,

There are a few more hotfixes available that address a lot of the issues.  I would suggest running liveupdate to the latest patches and run the backup again to see if the problem still exists.

Also, keep this technote handy after you apply the patches, http://support.veritas.com/docs/294322

Blipsey,

I have the same problem.  After migrating our Exchange 2000 server to Exchange 2007 I am no longer able to see the Mailboxes during a restore.  I have updated Backup Exec to Hotfix 28 and also followed directions for the following article: http://support.veritas.com/docs/294322.  Still there is nothing in the restore for Individual Mail boxes.  I also do not see a size for the information store, yet during the backup everything appears to be fine.  There are no errors and you can see there was a size that was backed up for each mailbox store.
