BE 2010 agent upgrade - restart required?

Hi all,

we are planning to upgrade from BE 12.5 to 2010 in the next couple of days. In order to arrange a timetable i just need to know wether an upgrade of the remote agents (especially server, exchange and mssql) will require a restart?!

Yes, a reboot is recommended after installing the remote agent.  However, it is not neccessary to reboot the server just after to install the remote agent, you may reboot the server later on as well.

Yes and no...I am busy with upgrading our agents/media servers from BEWS 12.5 --> BEWS 2010.
To date I haven't had to restart any remote servers once RAWS & AOFO have been installed. That said, if you want to make sure the changes made during the upgrade are effected, do the restart.
