Hi,
I have a Win 2K SP4 server with BE 8.5 (3572) on it. Normally it backs up the C and D drive without a problem.
BUT (and there is always a but) periodically it backups up the System State (approx 300KB) and then sits and waits and waits. The tape drive (DAT 20/40) write light is on solid. The job cannot be aborted, the tape cannot be ejected from the tape drive (with the manual button). Only a restart of the server unlocks the tape drive. Then the next night the backup works just fine.
There are no error messages, no alerts no nothing.
Any idea on what to check, tweak or whatever?
