Hi,

it is an elder BE 9.1 installation.
since two days the job terminates abnormal with windows event 34113 and error a0008486.(Timeout) The job does nothing end ends after 10 hours.
(I have read the postings in this forum).

a job test ends also with win event 34113 but with error 0xa0008703.
I tryed install updates and saw, that BE forgot all installed ca. 10 patches and service-packs, on the update-link all patches are listed as availaible.
Trying install the latest security-patch sayed it must have SP2 before. I had installed SP2 some time ago.

3. May be, that the reason for the Problem is installing

Hello,

This issue may occur if the job is set to "Enable automatic cancellation".
By selecting this item in the Backup Job Properties > Schedule tab, Backup Exec automatically cancels the backup job if it does not complete within a specific amount of time after the scheduled start time.
Uncheck this option and run the backup job. Or, if you want to use this feature, calculate the time it will take to complete the backup and accordingly specify the time in hours or/and minutes.

Secondly, it is observed that disabling or rescheduling Windows update also resolves the issue.

Please do not uninstall the Backup Exec application.

Hope it helps you.

Regards
