I just upgraded from 11D build 6235 to build 7170. To say the least, it was a nightmare and I had to do a manual removal of build 6235 and then install build 7170. I tried to bring my catalogs over and restore the DB using BEDB.bak but that did not work. I wiped out all the catalogs etc and now when I catalog tapes, the catalog finishes successfully. When I right click on the tape to restore, I get this message:
The selected media was not found in the catalogs. You must first catalog the media if you want to use it for restore operations.
If I go to the restore tab, I don’t see any selections. If I choose the Restore Wizard, BAM, the tapes that I cataloged show up. This works and I can restore but File Redirection is not an option. I have to restore to the location where the file was backed up from.
Has anyone seen this and if so, what is the fix? I want to be able to restore files to alternate locations and would like the catalog process to function correctly.
