Back ups take too long

 We are ona trial version of Back up exec with v ray.  Teh back ups are taking too long and  in 40 hours, we are getting less than 200 g....about 80 mg / min.

Backing up to external hd's, that are 2.0 usb

Please help

What is type of external hard drives are you backing up to?

Make sure the backup exec server is fully updated with live updates and then push the remote agent out to the remote servers .

Also make sure that your antivirus has the Backup Exec processes excluded from the scan.  See this technote for a reference and how to: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH74529

The HD is a Seagate 1 TB  (usb 2.0)

...the interface mighet be the reason why your backups are taking so long. An easy way to rule this out is to run the backup to a local disk (assuming you're not using dedupe), and if the speeds are significantly faster, then you have your answer.
