Backing Up with QNAP

Hello all,

I am running Backup Exec 12.5 on Windows 2003 R2, and I want to try to backup the system (or any selections) to a QNAP (Model: TS-439U).

How do I configure Backup Exec to look for the QNAP on the same network? or how do I configure the QNAP to make it visible?

P.S. The server is connected to the QNAP through a switch.

Hi heinemasterkim,

Can your operating system see the QNAP?
Can you ping QNAP?
If OS can not connect to the QNAP you have a connection problem.

If you want to backup to the QNAP, you have to configure a backup-to-disk folder, but you only can do it if OS can see QNAP.
