Backup Exec 10d Evaluation

We would like to try the Backup Exec evaluation, but don't want to uninstall the current software, Arcserve. Would this work (if we turned off all of the Arcserve services, maybe?)

Ensure that all Arcserve services are stopped while using Backup Exec.

Veritas drivers will have to be installed if you wish to use the tape drive with Backup Exec.

I was thinking along those lines, I will be trying the evaluation next week after full backup.

This worked great, I stopped all services for the Arcserve software and was able to use the Symantec software easily. I needed to go back to Arcserve to do a restore, so I shut down the Symantec services and started the Arcserve services and was able to restore successfully.
