Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I'm having the exact same problem as well.
We're experiancing this issue on one of two USB drives. The weird part is, the drive in question was working flawlessly for a couple months, but now it fails almost every other day. It usually starts the first job for that drive and gets partway through before it goes into a 'queued' state. Once this happens all subsiquent jobs for that drive get missed.
Any insight to this problem would be greatly appreciated.
