Backing up both AOFO and non AOFO servers in same job causes exception

I have AOFO installed on 2 servers out of 10 in a backup job.  On the servers without AOFO running windows 2000 server I receive the error:

V-79-57344-34110 - AOFO: Initialization failure on: "\\server.domain.com\C:". Advanced Open File Option used: Symantec Volume Snapshot Provider (VSP).
AOFO: The required module VSPAPI.dll cannot be found. The Advanced Open File Option may not be properly installed. Reinstall this option, restart the computer, and then run the job again.

This does not occur on server 2003 machines without AOFO (Presumably because of VSS)

Is there someway to prevent this error?  I don't need to use AFOF on all servers.

Split your backup job in two. One half with AOFO where needed, the rest without AOFO. Then set one job to run first, and the second job to append.

Thanks Hywel, I thought that might be the case.  Having a single job would be neater but if that's not possible I will use two jobs.
